OUR MISSION
Our mission is to enable low-income, vulnerable older adults to lead meaningful and dignified lives by facilitating education, advocacy, and acting as a liaison between them and services and care in our community.
Simply said, We work to improve the quality of life for elderly people in the community and to overcome obstacles so living at home remains an option.
Daily activities and living at home become more challenging as we age.
In a perfect world, every older adult would have nearby relatives or neighbours to help prepare meals, errands, mild home repairs. In reality many do not.
Without this kind of assistance, older adults can struggle alone at home.
We are here for seniors when family, mobility and resources are lacking.
OUR VISION
We want young people to treat seniors like aged wines, they gain value with age.
Our Aims:
-
Encourage Intergenerational connection
-
Tackle food and fuel poverty among seniors
-
Enrich quality of life for seniors and those with progressive illness such as Parkinson’s and Dementia,
-
Give mini breaks to carers and support them to maintain their own wellbeing.
